Editor’s Note: MISMO Seeks Public Comment On Credit Reporting Modernization Guidance
MISMO, the real estate finance industry’s standards organization, is seeking public comment on two work products to support the industry in the transition to the modernized credit report changes:
* Credit Reporting Modernization Implementation Guide
* Credit Report Model Name reference document
The Credit Reporting Modernization Implementation Guide is a new resource that provides backward and forward compatibility guidance for the implementation of MISMO standards to support industry-wide credit reporting modernization. The 30-day public comment period for both work products runs through June 5, 2025.
“The Credit Report Model Name reference document is an existing resource that has been updated to include additional credit score model names to support the industry-wide credit reporting modernization,” said MISMO Acting President Rick Hill. “This resource includes a list of each credit score model name and whether the enumerated value for that model name is in a specific reference model or expressed as ‘Other.’”
The public comment period allows those who participated in the proposal at least 30-days’ notice prior to final release to review and disclose any applicable Patent Rights (as defined by MISMO’s 2018 Intellectual Property Rights Policy).
MISMO requests that any organization that may have any patent or patent applications, or other intellectual property rights that might be infringed upon by an organization that uses or is compliant with these proposed MISMO products to disclose them at this time in writing. All comments and disclosures are due by June 5, 2025 and should be directed to [email protected].
