Kate Dirrane Joins Boston Branch Of Mortgage Network
Mortgage Network, Inc., one of the largest independent mortgage lenders in the eastern U.S., announced that Kate Dirrane has joined the company’s Boston branch as a loan officer and sales assistant. Dirrane, who is licensed in Massachusetts, Maine, Connecticut, New Hampshire and Rhode Island, will help residents in these states with their home financing needs.
Dirrane (NMLS #2105885) said today’s homebuyers need to plan ahead, adding the housing market throughout the Northeast is fiercely competitive.
“We are facing a tremendous shortage in the inventory of homes and increased demand for single family properties due to the pandemic, which has resulted in bidding wars and higher sales prices,” she said. “I encourage borrowers to gather all the required documents up front so we can quickly approve them for financing. This puts them in the best possible position to make a strong offer and come out ahead of competing buyers.”
A Boston native with deep roots in Southie, Dirrane brings almost a decade of mortgage banking experience to Mortgage Network. Previously, she served as a mortgage loan processor with NE Moves Mortgage, later acquired by PHH Home Loans, and as regional team lead with National Mortgage Insurance Corporation, better known as National MI. A graduate of North Carolina State University, Dirrane is a member of the Melrose/Wakefield Chapter of the Women’s Business League, which provides a strong, supportive network for women in business through connection, opportunity, and community.
“We are thrilled to have Kate join our Boston office,” said Ben McKillop, manager of the Boston branch. “Because of her excellent communication skills, borrowers feel very comfortable with her, and that’s an important part of the process. At Mortgage Network, we pride ourselves on providing top tier customer service. Kate is a perfect fit to help us continue this momentum.”
“My goal is to educate my clients and prepare them for all situations, so they feel comfortable with any particular contingencies,” Dirrane said. “I also constantly communicate with real estate agents to keep them informed of where borrowers are in the loan process to mitigate stress and eliminate surprises.”
“Mortgage Network is a fantastic company with many loan programs for those looking to buy a home or refinance, and I’m proud to be part of the team,” Dirrane added. “Being able to provide clients a variety of options and help them make solid, educated decisions is a wonderful feeling. The home loan process can be confusing, so I look forward to helping make the process far easier.”
