Financial Service Law Firm Expands

Garris Horn LLP, a national law firm serving the financial services industry, has added renowned litigation attorney James Brody and seasoned colleague Ingrid Petersen as partners.  

An accomplished mortgage and financial services litigator, Brody began practicing law in 2001.  He was most recently Chairman of the Mortgage Banking Practice Group with his previous firm.  Brody works primarily with banks, credit unions and independent mortgage companies, focusing on such diverse matters as loan repurchase defense, data breaches, fraud recovery, employee poaching as well as M&A.  A veteran of numerous high profile legal actions, Brody has served as lead counsel on cases involving CitiMortgage, ResCap, Franklin American, Chase, EMC, the FDIC, Lehman Bros and many more.  Brody is also a frequent speaker and commentator for mortgage conferences, seminars and news outlets.

Petersen has long worked with Brody and was co-chair of her prior firm’s mortgage banking practice. Petersen has practiced law since 2004, focusing on financial services litigation and mediation.
