MISMO To Launch FRAME Interactive Workshop, Put AI Governance Into Practice
MISMO announced an interactive workshop focused on FRAME (Framework for Responsible AI in the Mortgage Ecosystem), MISMO’s mortgage-specific approach to AI governance. The workshop, sponsored by LucidTrust, will be held during the MISMO Fall Summi in Reston, Virginia, on August 25.
The workshop combines expert-led instruction with hands-on exercises and real-world mortgage scenarios to help participants evaluate AI use cases, assess system risks, and establish governance roles and decision-making processes. Participants will also learn how to build an AI System Inventory to support oversight and gain practical strategies they can apply within their own organizations.
“Everyone is trying to figure out how to use AI effectively, but just as importantly, how to do it responsibly,” said MISMO President Brian Vieaux, CMB. “One of the best ways to make progress is by working through real scenarios with your peers. That’s exactly what this workshop is designed to do, give participants a chance to collaborate, ask questions, and leave with ideas they can start using right away.”
As artificial intelligence becomes more deeply embedded in mortgage operations, having a written policy is only part of the equation. Organizations also need a clear, repeatable approach for evaluating AI systems, managing risk, and making informed decisions as adoption grows. Whether attendees are just getting started or refining existing practices, the workshop will provide practical insights they can take back to their teams.

Building on MISMO’s established certification program, the organization will also introduce the MISMO FRAME Certified Advisory Partner designation to help lenders put FRAME into practice. Organizations that earn the certification will have demonstrated the expertise, methodology, and professional standards needed to advise mortgage industry participants on implementing AI governance using the Framework for Responsible AI in FRAME. In addition to the hands-on training provided during the workshop, the new certification will give lenders access to qualified advisory organizations that can support their AI governance efforts long after the Fall Summit concludes.
