NetDirector Unveils Major Enhancements To AI Redact Platform

NetDirector, a data and document integration provider for the mortgage default servicing industry, has announced enhancements to AI Redact, its platform for identifying and redacting personally identifiable information (PII) from legal descriptions, title records, HUD forms, PACER filings and other documents.

The enhancements include PII Pattern Builder, a new tool that lets legal firms and default servicers build and test their own redaction rules for unique PII formats and client-specific exceptions without relying on technical support. The result is a faster, scalable way for organizations to fine-tune how they handle sensitive information while improving control, consistency, and auditability in the default process.

AI Redact also includes a new AI Redaction Editor, which reduces redaction turnaround time by an average of 50%. Documents also load and respond up to twice as fast as before, with zero lag when scrolling or navigating pages.

“We built AI Redact to automate redactions on key documents critical to the default servicing industry,” said Melissa McCabe, NetDirector’s mortgage banking operations director. “These new tools enable admins and analysts to have more control over the redaction process and spend less time waiting for documents to load, which means they can move faster and have greater confidence in the results.”

Other enhancements include:

Classifiers –  AI Redact can now identify document and page types using contextual information, enabling the system to make more accurate redaction decisions. Organizations can apply different rules based on the document’s purpose, content, or format, helping reduce false positives while maintaining consistent protection of sensitive information.

Tags – This feature provides another level of configuration by allowing redaction rules to be tailored by client, department, functional area, or workflow. Tagged groups can allow their own allow or block settings, giving organizations greater control over the redaction process.

Allow-Range – This feature gives organizations a precise way to protect approved sections of a document from unnecessary redaction. Administrators can easily define, allowing information within protected block-ranges to remain visible while standard redaction rules continue to apply elsewhere.
