MBA Education Announces The Creation Of The Residential Educator Of The Year Award

MBA Education, the education division of the Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA), announced the creation of the Residential Educator of the Year Award, an annual company-level award that will be presented for the first time at MBA’s 2023 Annual Convention and Expo, October 15 – 18 in Philadelphia.

“The Residential Educator of the Year Award will be presented to a member company that best exemplifies a commitment to learning and development and brings greater awareness to the value of education in its workforce,” said Jeffrey Schummer, MBA’s Vice President of Education Business Development.

MBA Education’s Residential Education Networking Group, a member-driven effort to assemble thought leaders to discuss the latest innovations and best teaching practices across the mortgage banking industry, created the award to highlight the importance of investing in education and training. 

The application period begins May 1, 2023, and concludes on July 1, 2023. Applicants will be evaluated on three key areas: 1) demonstrating a culture and commitment to learning; 2) consistently focusing on designation and certification programs that challenge professionals and promote career growth; and 3) delivering innovative and holistic approaches to learning, with a focus on outcomes that support leadership development.
