MISMO Seeks Public Comment On New Standardized Dataset For VA Verification Of Benefits
MISMO, the real estate finance industry’s standards organization, announced at its 2023 Spring Summit that it is seeking public comment on a MISMO dataset mapping for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Verification of Benefits (Form 26-8937). The new dataset is designed to standardize the exchange of VA Verification of Benefits form data and has a 30-day public comment period that runs through July 6, 2023.
The dataset, developed in coordination with the VA, provides an industry standard for the transmission of the information required on the VA Verification of Benefits form, creating efficiency and improved interoperability within the system.
The public comment period allows at least 30 days’ notice prior to final release to review and disclose any applicable Patent Rights (as defined by MISMO’s 2018 Intellectual Property Rights Policy). Disclosures and comments should be directed to [email protected].
MISMO requests that any organization that may have any patent or patent applications, or other intellectual property rights that might be infringed upon by an organization that uses or is compliant with these proposed MISMO products, to disclose them at this time in writing.
